Utropiia has done much to modernize its communication network through the use of its revolutionary light-based telegraph system, with the diligent employees of the Utropiian Telephone & Telegraph company relaying messages throughout the city at light speed.

Nevertheless, Utropiia is so large and has developed so fast that much of the city still relies on traditional telephone lines for communication.
